Our plan is to create a community-wide partnership to restore the theatre to its former glory as the centerpiece of downtown Corvallis entertainment.
The Whiteside Theatre is a unique part of Corvallis' rich history and our vibrant future. Broad community support is essential to bring the theatre back to life. Structural and mechanical inspections in 2003 and 2008 confirm that the theatre is exceptionally well-built and structurally sound. Estimates for systems upgrades are in place and restoration will proceed as quickly as funding is available. Upon completion, the theatre will once again come alive with a diverse array of films, local and touring performers, educational programs, and community activities.
